The Fire Kids Edition comes with a free year of their subscription service geared towards families, known as FreeTime Unlimited. In addition to the numerous kid-friendly content, FreeTime Unlimited lets parents set the time limit and bedtimes. The Learn First feature can even block access to games and videos until educational goals are met. This would be a great way to make sure your kids finish their homework first before giving them the freedom to use the tablet for games.

The best part is the two-year worry-free guarantee. If the tablet really does get broken within the first two years, Amazon will replace it one-for-one. However, if the device is lost, then you’re out of luck.

Currently, the Kids Edition can be ordered in either the Fire 7 or Fire HD 8 edition and the cases can be in blue, pink or yellow.
