Deeper, a Lithuanian company that designs, develops and produces smart electronic devices for sports and outdoor activities, is back once again for CES 2017 with a brand new product touted to be the ultimate tech-powered bike security system.
Deeper lock combines a range of anti-theft features to provide the ultimate deterrent. Locked and unlocked through the user’s phone, it has motion sensors which are activated once the bike is locked. Any suspicious movements will activate Deeper Lock’s GPS tracking, which will start relaying location data straight to the user’s phone. These movements will also trigger a 110db alarm, and an anti-theft alert system which sends a warning message direct to the user’s phone. Additionally, perpetrators will have a 12mm hardened steel locking mechanism to contend with.
After walking away with the CES 2016 Innovation Award for best Wireless Handset Accessory last year, the company’s latest offering – Deeper Lock – has been named as an Honoree in the Wireless Handset Accessory category in this year’s awards.
“Our focus is on making everyday objects ‘smarter’, bridging the gap between the present and the future. Building on the global success of our smart sonar range, we are branching out into bike security. The smart features on the Deeper Lock are a huge step forward in terms of both security and usability for urban cyclists,” says Deeper’s CEO, Aurelijus Liubinas.
