Today, the Ministry of Health have identified 563 new cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 16, 220 cases, with 5, 039 active cases as of October 12. The 563 new cases are broken down as 1 imported and 562 domestic.

109 new case have recovered, bringing the total of recovered cases to 10, 501. This also brings Malaysia to a recovery case percentage of 67.95 percent.

There are currently 98 cases being treated in the ICU, with 29 cases on ventilation support.

The total number of deaths from the coronavirus increases by 2 to a total of 159.
