Today, the Ministry of Health identified 30 new cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 6,383, with 1,710 active cases as of May 5.
This is the lowest number of cases recorded since the Movement Control Order (MCO) started on March 18.
All 30 cases are from local transmissions.
83 new cases have recovered, bringing the total of recovered cases to 4,567. This also brings Malaysia to a recovery case percentage of 71.5% percent.
There are currently 24 cases being treated in the ICU, with 8 cases on ventilation support.
The MoH unfortunately reported one new death as of May 5, increasing Malaysia’s death toll to 106.
