
With yesterday’s announcement of the Extended Movement Control Order (EMCO) to May 12, the number of cases that are newly identified, recovering, and any fatalities from the coroanvirus are paramount to knowing when the MCO could end.
Today, the Ministry of Health have identified 88 new cases, bringing the total number of cases to 5691 cases, with 1932 active cases.
121 new cases have recovered, bringing the total of recovered cases to 3,663.
There are currently 41 cases being treated in the ICU, with 18 cases on ventilation support.
The MoH also announced one new death in Malaysia, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 96. The latest death was Case 2978, a 61 year-old Malaysian citizen with a background in diabetes, hypertension and kidney disease.
