Computex 2018: FSP Announces Their New Products For Computex 2018

FSP announces their range of products for the Computex 2018 show in Taiwan. They’ll be showing their power solutions for the new generation of 5G, blockchain, and IoT products. Their highlight this year is a full range of power supplies for the IEC/EN 62368 standard. The new 850W PSU for watercooling will also be at Computex.

5G Cell Site Power Supply Solutions

FSP’s key focus at Computex 2018 will be fifth generation mobile networks and wireless systems. As 5G uses more flexible outdoor cell sites based on more compact hardware, FSP are offering easily-installed 5G cell site power solutions. These solutions also meet environmental challenges such as temperatures, dust, and humidity. They have the capability to meet 5G power supply OEM and ODM requirements, providing small, thin, swappable designs for outdoor systems. Furthermore, the company are more than capable of providing customised solutions for telecom customers.

FSP offers IoT customisation

For IoT customers, FSP provides a variety of power solutions for wired or wireless applications. FSP will be showcasing various products such as IPC, adapter, open frame and more for IoT requirements. They can customise their products to meet the various requirements different companies will have. Part of these include PoE, PMBus and USB connectors, a wide range of fan speeds, voltages and amperages, numerous safety and security features, plus statistics and loading record features.

Solid blockchain and mining support

FSP are also putting out high wattage power solutions for modern power-hungry GPU, blockchain, and cryptocurrency mining activities. They assure users that these are reliable and efficient enough to handle these demanding applications. FSP’s outstanding features for this sector include simple GPU 12V output power, data center quality, PSUs for both ASICs and GPU, one to multiple output, 18pin, and LED real-time signal to help users easily understand their device’s power usage.

FSP moves ahead in gaming and modding

Last year, FSP wowed the crowd with the world’s first 80PLUS water cooling PSU: the Hydro PTM+ 1200W. This year sees the Hydro PTM+ 850W water cooling PSU for gamers make an appearance too. Some features include RGB lighting support for various motherboard control standards as well as smart fans that automatically start when there’s over 50% load. Indeed, the Hydro PTM+ 850W water cooling PSU can support overclocking up to 1000W when water cooling is installed. FSP’s booth this year also sees a few well-known modders showing off their custom builds.
