Take-Two Interactive, the guys behind Rockstar Games and 2K have now revealed they’re planning to release a staggering 93 titles in just FIVE years. This will of course include games from 2K and Rockstar, which means it includes new NBA 2K, WWE 2K and most probably GTA VI. This comes from a recent investors call discussing their Q4 2020 results. Of course, these aren’t the only studios Take-Two has, so we can expect games from other developers as well.
They also mentioned that the coming fiscal year which ends in March 2021 will be “light” for new games, but will pick up with a smorgasbord of titles in fiscal 2022.
Industry analyst Daniel Ahmad also weighed in, and broke down the 93 titles by various types:

Based on this, we can expect a lot coming out from Take-Two’s studios in the coming years. But looking at Ahmad’s information, we’re going to see a staggering 46 new IP’s in the next five years, which to me sounds like a massive leap in terms of original, new games. New IP essentially means games and maybe genres that haven’t previously been explored before. Unlike classic yearly updates such as from Call of Duty, FIFA, or any other number of games, new IP means it’s new.
I’m interested to see how this all plays out and what kind of games Take-Two is investing in. For now though, the biggest question is when am I going to see GTA VI. That’s all I really want, anyway.
