As expected, IoT is the buzzword for many this year.

Huawei isn’t missing out on CES 2015 either, showcasing a variety of products like its flagship smartphones, wearables, tablets, mobile access devices, home access devices, smart home devices, OTT and vehicle-mounted modules. What’s new is the Hilink, a strategy by Huawei for offering integrated mobile internet solutions.

Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer BG, explained that smartphone sales saw significant increase, with the Ascent P7 and Mate7 particularly popular among customers. He also says, “We are committed to further consolidating and strengthening our smartphone business, and will continue to bring people an integrated, intelligent experience.” In addition, Richard revealed that Huawei would continue to explore the car networking business and on Internet of Things (IoT).

There were a tonne of Huawei products on display, which of course means booth goers got to see the P7 and Mate7, along with the Huawei Honor 6 and 6 Plus.

Besides the smartphones, Huawei’s exhibition also included a section that talks about Huawei’s idea on the Huawei Hilink Solution. This solution aims to offer fully integrated mobile internet solutions to consumers. This is, of course, related to IoT as the platform will be deployable in a home environment with products that are networked with one another. Obviously, this includes not just your smartphone and other mobile devices, but also other hardware like media and storage devices, or your household products. IoT is the name of the game in CES 2015, just as it is for Huawei.

Lastly, Huawei also had other products in display such as its MediaPad T1 and X1, TalkBand B1 smart wearable, E5 PRO mobile access device, PT500 and WS331C home access devices, as well as the OTT Huawei M330 and vehicle-mounted module ME909Tu-565 to help demo the Huawei Hilink Solution.
