After teasing its fans with ‘Coming Soon’ headlines, Celcom officially reveals that the hints has been all about its ‘Celcom revamps website’ plan. It is unlike what LiveatPC.com would’ve thought it may be. Nonetheless, this not so significant change is a welcoming sight as the previous feels convoluted.
The site looks more streamlined and user friendly with the navigation system now easier to use. Critical to the ‘Celcom revamps website’ plan is how there are now clear demarcation on its service and product offerings.
Plans are all listed on the landing page in a neat uncluttered way unlike Digi which often is confusing with over play on its promotions and deals. Meanwhile Maxis reserved the first page to devices which is probably dynamic as when the need arises to change to something else. We like the clean Celcom page and the white spaces its clear the management is going for mobile optimisation with fewer tabs less and heavy on copy. Items are all one click away while the older version was a total put-off with unclear navigation titles, for instance someone who doesn’t know Celcom products wont know which is Prepaid and Postpaid, besides Xpax has a different page altogether.
Now Prepaid and Postpaid is both under one site with broadband and devices joining the main tabs at the top left corner of the page, giving much emphasis to products and what consumers will be looking for the most. The Celcom site is still under beta and for those who prefer the older site they can click on the ticker and revert back.
