Celcom and MAS Ink Collaborative Deal to Augment Digital Lifestyles

Two unrelated brands – Celcom and Malaysia Airlines – are partnering up via collaborative deal that they just signed some hours ago. This strategic partnership will see both develop a collaborative platform that provide significant benefits to their customers.

In signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), both will augment their respective customer offerings with exclusive bonuses. This includes:

  • Easier ways to earn and spend Enrich miles
  • Flight discounts for all Celcom consumers
  • Attractive roaming plans

Michael Kuehner, CEO, Celcom Axiata Berhad has inked the collaborative deal with Izham Ismail, CEO, Malaysia Airlines Berhad. The move signifies a major undertaking between the two.

“With this partnership, both Celcom and Enrich customers will soon enjoy an awesome experience of innovative digital offerings and rewards that will further ‘enrich’ their traveling [and digital] lifestyles,” shares Kuehner.

Beyond point collection enhancements for both Celcom and MAS, new tie-ins for this collaborative deal are now in the pipeline. This may include in-flight Wi-Fi or point collection exchanges.

For Izham, this signing is very much strategic as it is expansive.

““Helping people stay connected, whether through travel or their mobile phone, lies at the heart of what we do. The partnership will enable Enrich members to reach rewards more quickly. This is achievable for new and innovative ways to earn and spend miles,” he adds.

At press time, details on this comprehensive collaboration is scant. Both Celcom and MAS are keeping future plans tightly wrapped as they have only shared there is more to come.
