Design

Canon has really put enough thoughts when designing the printer. It has a near perfect boxy shape design finished in black with a protruding panel which houses the buttons and the screen. Oddly enough, the power button is placed beside the paper tray. The paper tray can hold up to 150 pages and a printed page comes out just below the panel. There is a retractable tray to hold the warm printed pages. Replacing the toner and drum is effortless since it slides in and out of place easily.

Wired and Wireless

With wireless connectivity rising in demand, the imageCLASS MF913w has a plethora of options for wireless printing. It connects to the wireless network either via Wi-Fi protected setup (WPS) or Wi-Fi direct. For computers that want to connect to the printer, you will need to install the necessary software drivers first. Should you choose not to take the wireless route, there is a high speed USB 2.0 cable to connect the printer to a computer. There are mobile apps designed to print from your smartphones.

3-in-1 Expert

Laser printers are usually expected to print high volume of pages in a short amount of time. This printer is capable of printing 22 pages in a minute without taking into account the first print out time (FPOT). When putting the claim to test, we found that the printer indeed prints 22 pages in under a minute. Print quality is excellent and no imperfections can be spotted. Unfortunately, the printer doesn’t have an ADF to easily scan and copy pages.
