The homegrown wallet Boost has introduced Ox-picious offers, deals and cash backs for consumers and merchants to encourage safe, cashless and contactless shopping in preparation of ushering in the Lunar New Year.

Boost has also brought back its popular e-Ang Pow feature since there are limited physical family reunion dinners and house hopping this year following the extension of the MCO.
The campaign features innovative services and solutions for Malaysians to carry out necessary tasks with contactless convenience such as paying bills, buying prepaid top-ups to stay connected with loved ones, online shopping, getting insurance protection and supporting local merchants.
“All these are intended to continue the CNY traditions and ring in a prosperous and ‘Huat’ new year through the vibrant cashless ecosystem that Boost has to offer for all Malaysians,” said Ungku Norliza Syazwan Ungku Halmie, Director of Product and Marketing of Boost.
Boost brings back the e-AngPow feature to keep the festive hype alive where users can choose from 6 vibrant e-Ang Pow packet designs with the option to include a personalised greeting as a way to retain the all-important Ang Pow gifting tradition to spread good luck and blessings.
Users can also send a customised e-Ang Pow to up to 10 people at any one time in equal or different amounts for each recipient. Boost also ensures Malaysians can channel their e-Ang Pows as e-donations to a list of NGOs and charities found in the Boost app to always care for those in need during this challenging period.
Premium users can send and receive the e-Ang Pows while Basic users can receive only. The recipients must open it within 12 hours or it will be returned to the sender.
There are lots of liaisons with online merchant partners to offer users greater savings of up to 28% cashback. This is also applied for food preparations from Potboy, JOCOM, and MyCookingStory; food delivery from EASI and McDelivery; as well as home decorating, wellness and fashion from Zalora, Watsons Online and Bloomspace.co.
For gamers, enjoy the cashback and additional Boost Coins as you buy game credit on Google Play, PlayStation and UniPin for fun packed online gaming sessions during the virtual CNY gatherings this year.
During the MCO, the traditional brick-and-mortar merchants can continue to run their businesses by transacting and accepting payments via the Boost Business Payment Link feature to simplify payment collection. From now to April 3, if every RM10 user spends via the Boost Business Payment Link or by scanning the physical Boost QR in-stores, the merchant will get an entry to win prizes.
Boost strongly urges Malaysians across the country to do their part to safely support local businesses while stimulating the local economy by using Boost for clean and safe contactless payments. All these ‘Jom Support Lokal’ initiatives can be found under ‘What’s New’ section in the homepage as part of our dedication to the Microenterprise and SME (MSME) community to benefit from the #BoostGotYou campaign during CNY together.
More deals can be found under the ‘Huat’s for CNY?’ tab on the Boost app homepage.
