Off the heels of home grown content developer Animonsta getting airtime on Netflix with special acquisition deal, we now have another animation developer Monsta popular for BoBoiboy cartoon series having their shows soon to be broadcast in two most populous continent in the world.
Having nurtured by MDEC from day one, Cyberjaya based Monsta helmed by former artists who worked on Ipin and Upin animation series are set to bring their young 3D characters to India and China with an international partnership by Tencent and Disney. The deal reported to be in a RMB 1 mil, will allow Tencent Video which has over 457 million monthly active users on its platform to broadcast all 3 seasons of the cartoon series including the feature film. WebTVAsia which will manage licensing for the brand in China will also work with other broadcasters to introduce the content. The shows will be dubbed in Mandarin.

As for the other continent, Monsta will have its contents acquired by Disney Channel India to broadcast the BoBoiBoy series and movie to the whole Indian sub-continent, which includes Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Seychelles, and Sri Lanka. In the region it will be shown in 4 languages Hindi, Tamil , Telugu and English.
There will merchandise and mobile game for the hit series with big names like Takara Tomy and Gameloft already signing in.
