Blizzard Entertainment is set to deliver a major esports spectacle at BlizzCon 2026, bringing together elite competition and iconic players from Sept 12–13 at the Anaheim Convention Center, with a total prize pool exceeding US$1.2 million.

The event will introduce the Blizzard Classic Cup, a new cross-title team competition spanning Heroes of the Storm, StarCraft: Remastered, StarCraft II and Warcraft III: Reforged. Featuring legendary players led by captains Nick “Tasteless” Plott and Dan “Artosis” Stemkoski, the tournament will see teams compete in a points-based format for a US$100,000 prize pool, with the champion crowned live on stage.

BlizzCon will also host the return of major global competitions, including the World of Warcraft Arena World Championship and Mythic Dungeon International, offering a combined US$600,000 in prizes following year-long competitive circuits. Meanwhile, the Overwatch World Cup marks its 10th anniversary with 30 national teams competing through global qualifiers for international honours.

The Hearthstone Masters Tour will also culminate at the event, with top players advancing through the 2026 season to compete for a US$500,000 prize pool.

With a mix of new formats and returning championships, BlizzCon 2026 is expected to reinforce its position as one of the premier global stages for esports, drawing fans from across the world to Anaheim for two days of high-stakes competition.
