After several months since the launch of the S8, the much hyped about feature – the Bixby Voice Assistant – is finally seeing some progress.
Initially, the AI based voice assistant was only available in Korean, with the English version stuck without voice controls.
The English version of the voice assistant is finally open for early access, with the official launch planned for later this month.
First introduces along with the launch of the Galaxy S8 back in March, the assistance was supposed to be launched in May, but has been repeatedly delayed – with latest report noting that Bixby might still be struggling to understand English.
The early access is noted to be for US version of English, with potential increase in error rate for other accents. Users with the latest Samsung flagship can apply through the company’s US website.
