Reading online is convenient – but also slightly annoying when article’s page jump around because of slow loading speeds of videos and pictures.

Google is tacking this issue by putting in scroll anchoring – which basically locked everything you’re looking at your screen to be exactly where you are. Normally jumps happen when there are pictures or videos that loads slower than the text, so when it fully loads it pushes the text down. Now having multiple videos or image would cause the page to jump more than once.

Having to keep scrolling back to where you were is an annoyance and a half. Scroll anchoring is said to prevent an average of almost three “jumps” per pageview, and improving.
