Since coming out in mid-2016, Overwatch is now considered one of the more popular eSports games in the scene. Blizzard is now looking to nurture those talents into full-fledged professional players for the future with its ‘Path to Pro’ league.

Come March 2018, Overwatch Contenders will be extending its reach beyond North America and Europe. It will now take place in seven regions with three seasons in a year. This is a great stepping stone for players who are looking to go professional in the Overwatch scene as you fight alongside other players of similar skill for prize money and bragging rights.

In Contenders, there will be the Overwatch Open Division. T ose who make it past the Open Division will be given the chance to compete in the Contenders Trials. This promotion-relegation tournament will happen at the end of each Contenders season so only the best of the best will make it through.
