ASUS makes available its smartphone, ZenFone Go, for purchase today on the ASUS Online Store. This smartphone retails at RM519.
Having released many budget smartphones this year, the one we’re looking at today is the ASUS ZenFone Go, which has under its hood a MediaTek MT6580 Quad-Core 1.3GHz processor coupled with 2GB RAM. The variation in the type of processor packed into the phone promises easy multi-tasking and immersive user experience.
The phone will come in 16GB formats, which will support a microSD Card up to 64GB. This is certainly good news for those looking for low-range smartphones because lack of internal memory can be compensated with an external one.
However, the Taiwanese phone does not support 4G network, which may not be a big setback considering the battery capacity of the ZenFone Go. Plus, certain carriers in Malaysia still have relatively uncongested 3G networks.
With only 2070mAh battery power, you’ll need to be careful on how you’re using your battery juice; although charging the phone full, will at least last you a full day of continuous internet usage.
Now you can’t talk about a smartphone, without talking about its camera. The camera on the ZenFone Go is decent when one considers the price it is offered at. 8MP for the main camera with auto focus and 2MP for the front-facing camera is good enough even for avid selfie takers.
The ZenFone Go also sports two SIM card slots, so that you can separate work from your personal life but still enjoy and manage both on one device. With an advanced antenna design, you’ll get fantastic performance even in areas with poor signal.
ASUS is also offering 100GB free Google Drive storage for two (2) years when you buy the phone so that you’ll be able to enjoy more storage using the ZenFone Go.
