ASUS has sprung a host of new surprises for its new range of gaming notebook series with the refreshed Intel processors including the unveiling of new form factors newer seen on a gaming device.
The ASUS ROG Mothership which was a vision 2 years in the making, first appeared at CES this year winning accolades is a versatile desktop that resembles a large size Surface from Microsoft but more robust and with tougher outlook. The model GZ700 a17-inch desktop replacement on steroids for gamers who are looking to breakaway from traditional vanilla gaming machines is now ready and will be arriving on store fronts very soon. While standing the Mothership improves airflow keeping the system cool in whatever gaming condition it is tested on, the keyboard separates and folds away giving flexibility for the user who might want to chose his/her own distance. As reported early this year out of the box the unit comes with NVIDIA GeForce RTX2080 and will operate on Intel’s Core i9-8950HK.
Weighing in at approx. 4.9kg, the Mothership is no slim jim but it does make up for it with the features and an ultra-fast 1080 Full HD panel that refreshes at 144Hz with 3ms response. Just like its Microsoft cousin, the kickstand holds it in three different positions giving more viewing options for gamers.
