ASUS has just announced its new ZenFone 2 during its Experience 2Morrow press event at Jakarta, Indonesia today. Featuring ASUS’ classic Zen-inspired design, the ZenFone 2 offers its consumers a premium design such as a metallic hairline finish and only at 3.9mm thin. Its screen-to-body ration is at 72% , with a 5.5-inch screen, suitable even for one-handed use.
The back is ergonomically curved with an intuitive button that has dual functions: volume control and front camera shutter button for that perfect selfie without twisting your wrist.
ASUS ZenFone 2 comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop and features ASUS ZenUI 2.0.
What Others Can’t See

The ASUS ZenFone 2 has a 13MP rear and 5MP front PixelMaster camera. This photo technology offers a wide range of enhancements, including:
- Low Light mode: Capture 400% brighter photos and videos in low-light.
- Real Tone Dual LED flash: Shoot with warm skin tones and natural colours.
- HDR mode and Blue Glass Infrared Filter: capture challenging backlit scenes such as sunset portraits.

Powered by the latest 64-bit Intel Aton Super Quad Core processor, the ASUS ZenFone 2 is the first smartphone that offers 4GB of 64-bit dual-channel RAM, to increase performance and data-transfer speeds to be PC-like.
The ZenFone 2 also supports dual-SIM with its Dual Sim Dual Active (DSDA) technology to ensure you never miss another call. It also features a 3000mAh battery to provide more than a full day use on a single charge. With 2x faster charging with BoostMaster technology, you cn charge your ZenFone 2 from 0% to 60% in just 39 minutes.
Personalised UI
The ASUS ZenUI has been updated to provide a more enjoyable user experience. There are more than 30ZenUI apps in Google Play and can be updated separately without a full system update. Another feature available via Google Play is the ASUS Launcher that has enhancements for easy customisation and ZenMotion, a collection of intuitive touch gestures that gives you a new experience in the way you interact with the ZenFone 2.
There is a large collection of touch gestures available to launch different apps even when the screen is asleep. For instance, by tracing the letter C on the sleeping screen, you can launch the camera app.
Entertainment
If you love your movies and music, then you would like ASUS’ 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 resolution) IPS display with wide 178 –degree vieweing angle and ASUS-exclusive TruVivid technology for better brightness and colour. The phone is also equipped with SonicMaster technology for that has 38% larger audio chambers and improved speakers resulting in 4X more powerful sound output, deeper bass and 2X higher pitch.
The Audio Wizard app that comes with the ZenFone 2 allows you to choose form six different output modes to give you the type of sound you personally enjoy.

ASUS ZenFone 2 will be announced and available in Malaysia starting from 9 May 2015 onwards.
