Another 10 Arrives…Huawei Mate 10 Pro That Is

Coincidence? We don’t think so…Huawei has a tradition of causing disruption, just ask Samsung. The Chinese mobile vendor chose November 24 the same day Apple will be introducing the iPhone X (ten) in Malaysia for its Mate 10 Pro.

Since launching the Mate 10 last month, the Mate 10 Pro is built on the same technology but enhanced in size, display quality and comes with an IP67 rating. The longer slimmer Huawei smartphone timely release is to give customers an option for high-end quality device at a much lower price point from the device hitting the stores that arrives from US.

‘Today is yet another momentous milestone for us at Huawei. We kick-off the sale of our flagship product of the year – the Huawei Mate 10 Pro. Led by AI, this powerful device has surpassed industry standards because it is embedded with the Kirin 970 chipset – a catalyst that brings incredible and unimaginable smartphone experiences to life,” said Bill Liu, Country Director, Huawei Malaysia Device Business Department.

Fingerprint scanner moves to the back, giving more room for the display.

The Mate 10 Pro comes with a 6-inch and 18:9 OLED FullView display with a curve-cut technology to create a 3D Glass Body. As compared to Mate 10, the fingerprint sensor is built on the rear to create a full screen effect for the front. Another add on is how this model is both water and dust resistant with an IP67 rating.

A new Leica Dual camera has been fitted, combining 12-megapixel RGB + 20-megapixel monochrome sensors with OIS. The all new AI-powered Real-Time Scene and Object Recognition can automatically choose camera settings based on the object and environment. Huawei has increased the RAM on the model to 6GB and storage is also  bumped up to 128GB but the micro-SD slot has been sacrificed.

Huawei Mate 10 Pro will goon sale for RM3,099 and available in Mocha Brown and Midnight Blue.
