With Amazon Alexa app now on Android and iOS, it won’t be long before Amazon adds voice control onto it. In fact, the plan is already in motion for the Android variant.

This move will certainly give the digital assistant app a much needed boost. Before the idea came to be, the Amazon Alexa app operates more as a settings manager. It offers proper oversight for Amazon Echo and other smart home devices that can pair with Amazon Alexa.

Having voice command will allow users to speak to these devices directly via their smartphones. According to TechCrunch, this new feature is now being deployed through Google Play and Amazon Appstore. It will reach all users in the coming days.

Amazon has confirmed that the iOS update will be out soon.

With this new immersive control for for the Alexa app, it finally completes the smart device ecosystem it has been pushing for. Prior to rolling out voice control onto the mobile app, Amazon has introduced Amazon Alexa onto Windows 10 PCs.
