Although being teased around the Internet since IFA 2016, Acer finally brought the Acer Predator 21X down into Malaysia with a hefty price tag to match – a whopping RM39,999! After being in the country for four months, the Acer Predator 21X has finally found its owner, Mr. Arsyan Ismail.
Ismail was quoted in saying, “Life is too short, enjoy what you can, buy while you still can.” No truer words have ever been spoken as everyone else in Malaysia would probably be reeling from the loss of not being able to purchase this monster of a gaming laptop anymore (this writer is currently holding his emotions together so he can go home and cry in the shower later).
For those who aren’t sure as to why the Acer Predator 21X comes with such an absurd asking price, it features an overclockable 7th Gen. Intel Core processor alongside dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti SLI GPUs and 64GB of DDR4-2400 memory. Its also the first gaming laptop that comes with a 21-inch IPS curved display screen with a 120Hz panel paired with its ultra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio.
The Acer Predator 21X also comes with Tobii eye-tracking technology that allows you to pinpoint enemies, aim and even take cover, all through the use of your eyes alone. However, it’s not just the hardware that has got gamers from all over salivating; the keyboard and touchpad design of the Acer Predator 21X is also a sight to behold as it features a full-sized mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Brown switches. The touchpad is a unique design of its own as it can be flipped over to feature the numpad.
Edit: And it seems that Arsyan snagged himself #001 of the lot too!
