LG has released its first ever super bowl commercial featuring blockbuster actor Liam Neeson and its new LG Signature OLED TV.
The father-son collaboration, Ridley Scott and Jake Scott, showcases the commitment of LG in bringing the future of television to consumers today. The commercial is centred on LG’s latest OLED TV, which delivers superior quality with perfect blacks, unparalleled contrast and colour.
In the commercial, Neeson’s character represents “the man from the future” and is tasked with the release of future televisions to the masses of today. According to Neeson: “My character is an enigmatic man from the future, who has traveled back to the present day on a very important mission.”
Jake Scott, Director of the commercial added: “The objective was to create a world you’ve never seen before or a world that was unique and specific to the OLED.”
This will be Neeson’s second Super Bowl commercial following his famous Clash of Clans one, while the LG advertisement promises to be just as electric as his previous works.
In comparison with other LCD displays in the market, the LG TV is a certified UHD Premium and the OLED panel can be switched off and on independently. As a result, LG’s OLED TVs render crisp and rich shadow details, even when bright objects are directly next to deep, dark areas.
