Honor of Kings has kicked off its Regional Professional Leagues from today, with teams across seven regions set to compete for regional supremacy and qualification to the prestigious Honor of Kings World Cup (KWC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The regional leagues – Indonesia Kings Laga (IKL), MY Honor of Kings League (MKL), Philippine Kings League (PKL), Wildcard Kings Series (WKS), Major East League (KME), Major West League (KMW), and Honor of Kings Brazil (CHOKBR) – will run over the next two months, featuring teams that qualified through the grassroots-level Open Series Split 3.
“This year’s KWC will be a seminal milestone as global teams will confront the champion of the KPL Spring Season for the first time,” said the organisers. The KWC will feature 18 teams from around the world.
The Open Series Split 3 attracted over 150,000 players globally, reflecting the game’s inclusive format. The Open Series, which has no rank restrictions, is the official entry point for grassroots and semi-professional teams to join the competitive scene.
In Malaysia, the MKL Group Stage will run from April 18 to May 25, with playoffs held from June 6 to 8 at Sunway Pyramid. Competing teams include Black Shrew Esport, Nova Esports, Team Secret, Todak, O2 Esports, AG Global, DTE Gaming and Soul Esport.
The Indonesian league (IKL) began today and runs until 18 May, with playoffs from May 30 to June 1 at Mall Taman Anggrek. Notable teams include Rex Regum Qeon, ONIC and BIGETRON Esports.
The Philippine Kings League (PKL) also kicks off today and includes top regional names such as BOOM Esports, Blacklist International and Team Flash PH.
Other leagues include:
- Wildcard Kings Series (WKS): Begins May 16, featuring Impunity Esports and See You Soon, with two teams yet to be announced.
- Major East League (KME) and Major West League (KMW): Begin April 17, featuring major organisations like Gen.G, Crazy Raccoon, OG Esports and Virtus.pro.
- Brazil’s CHOKBR: Begins May 16, with Alpha7, Loops, and Influence Rage among the confirmed teams.
All matches will be streamed live across Honor of Kings’ official platforms on Twitch, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and the official website.
