Samsung is looking to harmonise its mobile application service over its personal app calling all Galaxy users to download the Samsung Members app and stop using the mySamsung app for Southeast Asia customers including Malaysia.
The former was catered for other parts of the world initially while the latter was created primarily for the SEA and Oceania, in efforts to consolidate for uniformity the phone maker is making it more recognisable for its users with a single identity. The app serves as an additional service with a range of personalised privileges and assistance such as lifestyle rewards, tips on how to efficiently manage devices and registering a device’s details and warranty.
Available for Malaysian users with immediate effect, the successor to mySamsung has various features that Galaxy users may find relevant when they find issues with their phones. The feedback and troubleshoot services allows members to ask questions for expert and professional advice. Support can also be initiated via the apps diagnostics that tests to check the health condition of the device and take efforts to fix the issues automatically if problems were found. To keep users excited, Samsung Malaysia has designed special reward programs with benefits from a variety of redeemable coupons and exclusive event invitations.
When migrating over to Samsung Members, consumers are assured their information are intact including warranty and device information which they have registered on the previous app.
