The rumour mill was on hyperdrive again, since Evan Blass revealed leaks on the upcoming Galaxy Note to have a series jump, instead of following the numbering order. After last years launch of Galaxy Note 5, the supposed model should be Note 6 however Samsung has decided to skip and moved to 7, with a practical reason.

Here’s the official reasoning behind this, the flagship phones mainly the S series are already at number 7 with the models Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge launched this year, Samsung wants to unify the product portfolio and have them all under a continuous series. And secondly, the Galaxy Note7 naming will minimize confusion on the latest mobile technology from the manufacturer, OS and other softwares can all be easily streamlined and provide full alignment with Galaxy S smartphone. Which kinda makes sense, so no more wondering about the naming, lets just now focus on the innovation and the technology we will see on the new Galaxy Note 7.
