Following recent reports of videos depicting violence on Facebook – whether live or posted later – Facebook has decided to take some counteractive measures.
In a recent post Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg notes that the social media platform is taking action to make videos easier to report. They will also be adding 3,000 people on the community operations team globally (on top of the current 4,500) to review and moderate content on the social media platform.
Zuckerberg also notes that Facebook will be working closely with local communities and law enforcement, as well as building and improving tools to help anyone in danger from themselves or others.
