Today, the Ministry of Health identified 68 new cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 6,535, with 1,564 active cases as of May 8.

Out of the new cases, four cases are imported.

88 new cases have recovered, bringing the total of recovered cases to 4,864. This also brings Malaysia to a recovery case percentage of 74.43% percent.

There are currently 18 cases being treated in the ICU, with 7 cases on ventilation support.

The MoH also reported no new deaths as of May 8, keeping Malaysia’s death toll to Covid-19 at 107.
