Here’s whats new on the DJI Phantom 4 Advanced compared to the Phantom 4, firstly the designers have tweaked the camera to give photographers more agility when it comes to aerial shooting and better control of the craft in non-gps locations. So, the brochure says…lets explore.
Noticeable improvement is the camera, DJI has upgraded it so that its capable of shooting 4K video at 60 frames per second and now supports H.264 4K videos at 60fps or H.265 4K at 30fps, both with a 100Mbps bitrate. Making videos taken for more detailed work in advanced post-production.
Similar to the Phantom 4 Pro, it also comes with key intelligent features including Draw, ActiveTrack, TapFly, Gesture and Tripod. And equipped with FlightAutonomy system made up of 5 vision sensors, forward-facing obstacle avoidance system, dual-band satellite positioning (GPS and GLONASS), and ultrasonic rangefinders, the Phantom 4 Advanced is able to hover precisely in places without GPS and able to fly in complex environments.
As for the Phantom 4 Advanced+ version it comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p screen integrated into the controller. Storage capacity and battery strength is also amped up with a 128GB microSD card capacity and a flight time extended up to 30 minutes.
With these introduction , DJI will retire the Phantom 4 by end of April 201 however will continue to provide after sales support to customers. Retail price of the Phantom 4 Advanced and Phantom 4 Advanced+ is USD1,399 and USD1,799, respectively. Both products are now available in Malaysia DJI stores.
