Nintendo All Set To Increase Production Of Its In Demand Switch Devices

You’re not just seeing things, everyone is buying themselves a Nintendo Switch so they don’t die of boredom while trying to avoid dying of the coronavirus. If you’re one of those who are late to the party and find yourselfs scouring the internet for any store with an available unit, fret not Nintendo has addressed this.

According to report from Nikkei, Nintendo is going to increase the production of it’s popular Switch device to meet the global shortages. The info apparently comes from a knowledgable supplier who says that the legendary Japanese gaming company will be turning up production by 10 percent compared to last year. The company manufactured 20 million Switch devices in 2019.

The source added that Nintendo has also asked those who assemble and supply the device to prepare for an increase during the 2nd quarter of 2020. So that’s good news for everyone who’s still looking to get a Switch. That being said though, Nintendo has also warned that “for procurement of some parts, the outlook remains uncertain, and we can’t forecast exactly how many Switches can be supplied,”

So while it may be good news no doubt, it should also be taken with a grain of salt. The factory closures due to the coronavirus pandemic has left the company seriously lacking in the supply department. For now, you’re still going to have to fight through some seriously inflated prices for Switch devices if you’re looking to get your hands on one.
