Dell’s new Ultrabook, the XPS 13, is now available in Malaysia. First announced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas the unit extended battery life and Intel Rapid Start and Smart Connect TechnologyWith its thin bezel, the XPS 13 maintains a footprint similar to an 11-inch product and features bonded Corning Gorilla Glass for extra durability; a carbon fiber base; and full-size, backlit keyboard. A solid state drive and Intel Rapid Start Technology allows the XPS 13 to boot in seconds providing almost instant access, saving time and battery life.
Under the hood, the XPS 13 is packed with 4GB DDR3 SDRAM, a 13.3-inch HD WLED display and a SSD that comes in either 128GB or 256GB capacity. All this is held together by a choice of either an Intel Core i5 2467M or i7 2637M.
Starting from 1st April 2012 and in collaboration with Yes—Malaysia’s fastest 4G mobile internet with voice service—Dell is offering a special 4G mobile internet promotion package for the first 1,000 buyers of XPS 13. This promotion package worth RM217 comes with a free Yes Go 4G Dongle, a Yes ID and a Valuepack 68. The Yes ID also comes with a 018 mobile number to allow consumers to make/receive voice calls and SMS anywhere, anytime at local rates, via the innovative Yes Life application. This promotion will be available at selected Dell authorized retailers in Peninsular Malaysia only.
There is also an ongoing promotion for the first 50 customers of the XPS 13 from Dell. The the first 50 customers to purchase and register their XPS 13 Core i5 will be given a petrol card worth RM500.
