Creative Technology Reveals New Product Range

Creative Technology is back in Malaysia after a long hiatus with a full-range of new audio products. The range of Creative products is set to grow over the next few years, bringing more choice and variety for the Malaysian market.

The first wave of products include the Sound BlasterX Katana multi-channel gaming sound bar, Outlier Sports wireless in-ear headphones, MUVO 2c splashproof Bluetooth speaker and NUNO Micro Bluetooth speaker.

Sound BlasterX Katana – Multi-channel gaming sound bar

Made for gamers , the Sound BlasterX Katana is a powerful 2.1-channel sound bar that features a powerful 24-bit high-resolution audio processor. A certified Dolby Digital decoder, it provides incredibly realistic virtual 5.1 surround sound. Designed with the philosophy of a Katana sword, the chassis is reinforced with a sturdy, brushed aluminium panel, with a super slim profile of less than 2.5-inches that easily fits below monitors on a desktop or below TVs in a living room.

The Katana sound system boasts a sophisticated 5-driver design comprising of two up-firing 2.5” midbass drivers and two 1.3” high-excursion tweeters, coupled with a 5.25” long-throw driver in its subwoofer. The Katana also utilises a tri-amplified design that is able to output a total power of 75W RMS for dedicated amplification of high, mid, and low frequencies – ensuring room-filling audio that is clear, immersive and well-balanced.

The Katana isn’t just a speaker; it doubles up as a sound card that supports virtual 7.1 channel audio input signals via a USB connection from a PC to deliver realistic gaming effects and audio cues. The Katana also supports multiple inputs such as optical input, Bluetooth 4.2, USB audio playback and Mic-In. Gamers will also enjoy the Katana’s Aurora Reactive Lighting System. The sound bar’s base is lined with 49 programmable LED lights, fully customisable with 16.8 million colours.

Creative Outlier Sports – Ultra-light wireless sweatproof in-ear headphones

The Creative Outlier Sports wireless in-ear headphones, rated IPX4 sweatproof with a behind-the-neck design for active sports. It features AuraSeal silicone ear tips that ensure the headphones never slip off the ears while sealing outside noise and moisture; bringing deep bass, clear highs and balanced audio performance.

Outlier Sports supports high definition Bluetooth audio with aptX for quality audio streaming; the invisible microphone with ClearSpeech Engine means calls are clear even in noisy environments. With up to 11 hours of audio playback on a single charge, workouts can last several sessions without any interruptions due to a flat battery.

The Creative Outlier Sports is available in Neon Green, Fiery Orange and Midnight Blue.

Creative iRoar Go – Intelligent splashproof portable Bluetooth speaker

Hailed to be the world’s smallest and lightest 5-driver speaker system with SuperWide technology, the Creative iRoar Go is fitted with intelligent processing that allows users to perceive left and right audio sources accurately. The speaker comes built-in with a 5200mAh battery that provides 12 hours of playtime; it even charges phones and tablets with its USB 1.0A output.

IPX6 certified water resistant, the iRoar Go is ideal for outdoor activities. Features an Advanced Recorder, it records everything heard onto a microSD card. Users can also pair the speaker with an optional iRoar Mic and use it as a wireless personal PA system. It supports playback of lossless FLAC and WAV music files via a microSD card or USB flash drive as well as HD Bluetooth audio. The device can pair with up to 2 Bluetooth devices via easy-aim NFC.

The iRoar Go also doubles up as a PC and Mac external sound card with the built-in lossless USB DAC. Creative MUVO 2c – Palm-sized water-resistant Bluetooth speakers with built-in MP3 player

A colourful, powerful, splashproof speaker, the compact Creative MUVO 2c is the ideal for wet conditions. IP66 rated dust and splashproof, it also features an in-house tuned full-range driver and an oversized passive woofer, delivering impressive bass response, and supports up to 6 hours of playtime. Users can connect two MUVO 2c speakers wirelessly to amplify their audio experience with its Wireless Link Technology.

Packed with features, users will be able to answer phone calls with the built-in microphone, play thousands of songs with a microSD card, and use the MUVO 2c as a USB speaker for their computers. Users can also control the MUVO 2c using the Sound Blaster Connect app on their Android or iOS device.

The Creative MUVO 2c is available in Black, Blue, Red and Green.

Creative NUNO micro – Designer portable fabric Bluetooth speakers

Derived from nuno, a Japanese word for woven cloth, the Creative NUNO Micro features a rustic minimalist look in a cube form factor. Simple, well made, handcrafted pieces of art, the NUNO Micro is designed to match the office, home or outdoors with style.

The NUNO Micro fits into the palm and weighs a light 180g. It features Bluetooth for wireless audio streaming and comes with a built-in microphone, which can be used as a speakerphone for phone calls. Users can also play tunes from audio devices with the aux-in port. The NUNO Micro supports up to 4 hours of playback and can be easily charged with a Micro USB cable.

The NUNO Micro is available in two colours – Black and Heather Gray.
