Well the epic saga continues in Malaysian politics with accusation of treachery, betrayal, hidden agenda and covert operations, all these revealed by Tun Mahathir, the former Prime Minister who resigned and was reappointed as Interim Prime Minister and today see’s his position evaporate before him.
Like a plot in Game of Thrones, the current episodes that’s plaguing the country is no means a laughing matter nor something we should buy popcorn’s to and watch on the sidelines. There are certain groups who are reveling on the collapse of the government, a cabinet without ministers and the state of limbo the country is in, but the fact this is not healthy at all. Tun Mahathir is relentless on his pursuit, this we know because he has been governing the country for more the 20 years and there are features of his style that still assumes in his current role as a retiree. He has taken a bold step in accusing his close ally from GE 2018 as betraying him, the news has gone viral and every online news agency and social media platform is going berserk. Truth be told this not the only piece of revelation that is breaking the internet in Malaysia, there has been other stories before this that has made the top 10 list. But the “Old Man” does has a way of garnering attention and his latest choice is social media.
As the King inaugurates Muhyiddin as the 8th Prime Minister, the news of betrayal and shadow operation masterminded by the Parti Bersatu Leader to topple Mahathir is growing rampant. Whether the appointment is sustainable or will we have another collapse is ever doubtful. Both parties claim to have simple majority to govern the country and this tennis game is yet to see a winner any time soon. Tun has changed his mind yet again and is pitting himself to return as Prime Minister, shocking everyone including his own party leaders. Tun is not pleased with how his general maneuvered within the ranks to take leadership position, the knives are out and expect to see blood bath.
