Beta release of Cortana is now available for Android, the personal smartphone assistant which was announced will be coming to Android devices in May during the BUILD conference is making its way ahead of the official announcement. With Windows 10 release just weeks away, Microsoft’s cross platform vision is getting more closer to reality, the Cortana downloaded functions smoothly with answering weather questions and make calls from the contact list, the leaked beta is guessed not to last long before pulled off and re-released later this month, so if you want to you will need to download it fast.

The app functions in a way similar like Apple’s Siri, learns about your interests, friends and favorite things – and keeps these information and records it in a notebook just like a PA. She’ll also ask you questions and tailor her suggestions over time to make them ever more personal. As close to an AI you can get for now, Cortana progressively learns about you and reminds you of birthdays, anniversaries and alert you on flight delays. Never a dull moment with her around.
