Google’s @Android Twitter account recently tweeted out that “something exciting is just around the corner” at Samsung’s upcoming Unpacked event where they’re expected to announce the Galaxy S20 series, among other things. Which suggests a lot, with many questioning what this is all about, but one thing’s for sure; Google has something planned.
The tweet is accompanied by a cute little teaser video which doesn’t tell you much, but it’s cute nonetheless.
The thing is, the Android twitter account doesn’t really tease device launches from other third-party brands, so it’s fishy. Remember the Google Pixel? Something’s definitely up and could suggest a number of things (some wishful thinking too) about what Google’s got in store.
My most ‘wished for’ announcement would have to be a Stock Android Samsung device. I don’t know what it is about Stock Android, but it’s just, to me, the best way to use an Android phone. You may have preferences when it comes to Android skins, but Stock Android just does everything you need to, without the bullsh*t.
And I mean, come on, a Stock Android Galaxy S20 would be sick, and I’m sure most would agree. Check out what people had to say:

A few of the users mention Google Play edition Samsung devices, which for those of you who didn’t know, are essentially Stock Android phones.
The demand is there, the question is; “Are they willing to do it?”
Unlikely, but one can hope.
It’s more so probable that the announcement regarding Google Duo video chat support. According to Android Authority, Samsung and Google have been working to integrate Google Duo into their native messaging app. It is unsure whether the rumour would be restricted to Korea, but Google ‘theoretically’ could annonce the feature at the Unpacked event with a wider launch later.
They could also showcase how optimised Android for the Galaxy Z Flip foldable would be. Considering they’ve already optimised Android 10 for foldable phones, Google may want to take this opportunity to show it off.
