With OPPO Malaysia set to introduce their latest smartphone – the OPPO A9 2020 – in Malaysia soon, the company are adding to the excitement and anticipation by organizing a social media contest to encourage users to share 4 unique shots that cater to 4 different themes. In case you didn’t know, the number 4 is symbolic because the A9 2020 will sport a quad camera setup. The contest will happen from the 9th to 23rd September 2019.

You would think that the first prize for the contest would be the A9 2020 smartphone itself, but prepare to be disappointed. The first prize for this contest is THE ONE AND ONLY.. Neo Smartband. Now, I have nothing against the Neo Smartband but it’s just a little underwhelming given that this contest is in conjunction with the A9 2020. To be honest, this isn’t all that surprising given that one of OPPO’s Merdeka promos comprised of giving Malaysian citizens who are 62 years of age RM 62 ringgit off their OPPO purchases. It really can’t get much worse than that.

At least submission is a piece of cake though! All you have to do is follow these 3 easy steps:

Step 1: Capture 4 photos based on the 4 different themes uploaded on the official OPPO Malaysia Facebook Page & Instagram Page

Step 2: Ensure 4 photos are uploaded in an Instagram Carousel Post and not separately. Please include listed hash-tags before uploading on Instagram: #OPPOA9_2020 #4Cam4Styles

Step 3: Make sure your Instagram Account is public.

Send in as many creative entries before 23rd September 2019 and the most creative photo within the theme will win attractive OPPO prizes. And by attractive, I mean a Neo Smartband, a power bank and an Ollie Doll, which we’re guessing is their mascot? Oh well, at least it’s something I guess.
