Shopee, arguably the number one e-commerce platform in the country, seem to have pulled off a coup with the announcement of it’s partnership with the one and only Cristiano Ronaldo as it’s latest brand ambassador. At this rate, nothing can surprise me. JDT signing Ronaldo as a player/coach? Bring it on. Nothing can surprise me.

CR7 will work with Shopee on a wide range of initiatives to engage and inspire people in the region, starting with Shopee’s signature annual shopping event, 9.9 Super Shopping Day.

The surprise signing is in line with the return of Shopee’s 9.9 Super Shopping Day and as such, the football phenomenon will join a series of initiatives as Shopee brings users and fans across the region closer to the global football icon. What exactly are these initiatives you ask?

Well, for starters, he is set to star in Shopee’s newest 9.9 TV commercial that is set to premiere on the 16th of August. I’m thinking it’s going to be exactly like his advert with CLEAR MEN except he’s volleying a 10 pack of Maggi Mee instead of a ball whilst enjoying a cup of Milo 3-in-1.

That’s not all! There will also be exclusive CR7 content where fans will be able to get up close and personal with the man himself that’ll be available Shopee Live. Ronaldo as the next Shopee Quiz host perhaps? Not only ending Higuain’s career as a Juventus player, but also Ross Stephenson’s as Shopee Quiz host eh? Is there no limits to what this man can do?!?!
