GTA V is literally one of the hottest selling games in the world. They’ve even crossed into the mainstream, and is one of the most financially successful entertainment products of all time, with around $6 billion in worldwide revenue. Safe to say, GTA Online at the very least, isn’t dying soon. Now Rockstar Games is coming out with their latest to update to the ever popular GTA Online, “Diamond Casino & Resort”. The update is coming to the game on Tuesday, July 23rd 2019.
If the name wasn’t obvious enough, the update will revolve around a casino, and gambling. Check out what Rockstar themselves had to say about the update in a blog post they posted:
“The massive construction project on the corner of Vinewood Park Drive and Mirror Park Boulevard is nearing completion, radically changing the skyline of Los Santos forever. When the brand-new Diamond Casino & Resort opens its doors, one and all are welcome inside to play, or just to stay in the most luxurious residence in the entire state.
More than just a place to let go of your inhibitions and your sense of the passage of time, The Diamond is the one-stop destination for quality entertainment, high-end living and a range of experiences you won’t find anywhere else.”
The Casino
The casino floor will have a host of activites for players to get into. You can play against the house using Chips in Three Card Poker, Blackjack and Roulette. There will also be Slot Machines with a variety of prizes, as well as the Inside Track which offers a lounge to watch and cheer with friends as those virtual horses trot along. Try your luck on the Spin the Lucky Wheel in the lobby for chips, cash, and clothing. You might even win the new supercar, the Truffade Thrax. Activities and the like aren’t the only thing new, as there’ll be carefully curated rotation of new clothing and accessories that’ll be available in the Casino Store.
