Webe if anyone remembers was a telco until it was bought over by TM but before that it was known as the only Wimax provider in the country as P1. Its long history has been peppered with peaks and troughs with the highlight being probably when its parent company GreenPacket selling lock stock barrel to the Government Linked Company. Under TM, the plan was to kill off the name and continue as just Unifi as single brand encompassing mobile, fixed and entertainment, however this has changed of late.

Webe has just introduced a new telco plan to the unsuspecting market called nex.life, this new entity offers a simple in fact just one bundle offer, fixed-home broadband + 4G LTE mobility. The plan comes with an unlimited 30mpbs internet for fixed-home broadband and unlimited mobile 4G LTE (2-in-1 plan) under a price proposition of RM110 per month and a single bill. A one-time offer of RM10 monthly discount, is currently being giving as an introductory offer.

Webe has been piloting the project in selected areas in Kota Bahru, Kelantan and Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu in earlier this year, it then officially made available to a selection of high-rise buildings in Klang Valley in April and offers the availability across most of Malaysia.

TM is still trying out its bundle offerings to hit that sweet spot, as the leader in fixed broadband the operator has an advantage over the competition and has plenty of room to maneuver. nex.life is part of the philosophy of keeping things simple and to give customers something to talk about.
