A quick look at Reddit would say no.

As with all games that hit the big time, updates are not only inevitable but always under the spotlight, ready to be subject to intense scrutiny. PUBG is no different.  Moving forward, PUBG Corp. will be creating updates for PUBG that are meant to improve the game’s maps, with the first map in the game being the first to be remastered. In a blogpost released on their site, PUBG Corp. addressed the recent map leaks and revealed more on what they’re really up to.

One thing that is a contentious issue in the world of PUBG is loot balance and that seems to be one of the issues they want to address with the update. PUBG Corp. was also quick to remind players that the leaks are just a snapshot and rarely represents the entire scope of what is being worked on. Updates are great and all, but is this what the players wanted? What better place to find out the general consensus than Reddit. Please keep in mind that I had to filter for comments without profanities and boy were they few and far between. Everyone seems genuinely angry about the additional compounds, with most of them in general agreement that the map needs more loot.
