Malaysians can now access over half a million items available for preorder from Alibaba for the 11.11 big sale, since the Chinese online shopping platform opened its doors to local shoppers. In the past many shoppers have been heading to the site but not enjoying much of the promotion due to region restriction, but this year things are more different.

Celebrating it’s 10th anniversary of the Singles Day online sales event, customers can make preorder from 20th October on Tmall and stand to enjoy special deals and promotions. In Malaysia, a host of interactive marketing initiatives have been planed including Taobao Lite friend referral program, new member specials and an interactive offline event at Kuala Lumpur Tower. Additional promo’s include extended coupons till November, cash rewards for member referrals, flash deals, red packet and much more.

There is also no shipping fees on selected Tmall Signature store items on 11.11 while shoppers in Malaysia will be able to enjoy free shipping of up to 2,500 items when they make their purchase at Tmall Signature Stores. The event will kick off on 31st October.
