RoboSense is the world’s leading autonomous driving LiDAR perception solution provider. On the auspicious date of 10th October, RoboSense announced the completion of China’s massive funding for a LiDAR company – a combined investment of over $45 million (RMB 300 million).
The strategic funding is provided by several technology and industry leaders, such as Cainiao Smart Logistics Network Ltd., the logistics arm of the Alibaba Group; SAIC Motor Group (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation), the largest publicly-traded auto manufacturer in China’s A-Share; and BAIC Group (Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co.), an electric vehicle company.
RoboSense is the market leader in the region with over 50 per cent market shares of all LiDAR sold in Asia. The funding received will be used to increase their market share as well as the R&D of autonomous vehicle technologies, including its solid-state LiDAR, AI sensing algorithms, acceleration of product development, long-term manufacturing, and market penetration.
