SwiftKey has announced that it has incorporated Microsoft Translator into the app, allowing the popular keyboard app to translate in real time. The new update will support over 60 languages.
Microsoft Translator looks to be integrated tightly in the app, as translation into the selected language happens without the need to use any third party app. Microsoft did say that if the stand alone Microsoft Translator app is installed, users can use the built-in language library instead of relying 100% on the cloud.
Android users can access the feature through SwiftKey’s Toolbar by pressing the ‘+’ at the top left. Some of the languages supported by both SwiftKey and Microsoft Translator includes Spanish, Japanese, both standard Chinese and Cantonese, Malay, as well as obscure languages such as Mayan and Klingon.
The update is now live on Google Play store. No news when the iOS version of SwiftKey will be updated with the translation function.
