If you’re passionate about building the next great mobile game, now’s your chance to learn from the very best. Google is offering Android developers in Asia a chance to learn to make great mobile games with Google Plays’ first Indie Games Accelerator programme. Eligibility currently goes to gaming startups based in South East Asia, and applications are due by 31st July 2018.

The four-month Indie Gaming Accelerator programme will train promising developers from India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, or Vietnam. The training spans across the entire process of building, scaling, launching, and then marketing the next generation of hit mobile games.
Probably the best part of this deal is that accepted developers will have access to Google’s broad network of personalities such as Rami Ismail (Vlambeer), Noah Falstein (ex-Chief Game Designer at Google), and more. Google’s vast insights and technology will also be at participants’ disposal.
Throughout the programme, developers will attend two all-expenses-paid gaming bootcamps at the Google Asia-Pacific office in Singapore. It is here where they will receive personalised mentorship from Google teams and industry experts. Further benefits include Google Cloud Platform credits and invites to exclusive Google and industry events.
If you’re interested in this programme, you can begin applying here. Take note, however, that you must demonstrate your ability in mobile development. As such, you must submit a playable demo alongside the application.
Once the deadline passes, you can expect Google to announce its picks on 8th August 2018.
