Sometimes, giving a 5-star rating isn’t quite enough when you’re on Uber. Sometimes a driver is so exceptional you just want them to have a really good day.

With that in mind, Uber is introducing Compliments – a new way to thank your Uber driver for the things they do. When a rider leaves a compliment – say for expertly navigating traffic or striking up a conversation that brightened their mood – a notification will show up on the driver’s home screen letting them know what they did to make a rider’s day.
