Acer is releasing the funky and the functional multi-function Acer Aspire Switch 11 V and the portable Acer One 10 here in Malaysia. These are the new additions which are joining the new range of devices the company has been introducing in these past months.
The multi-function devices are a powerful 2-in-1 laptop that can transform from work to play without compromise. Like its predecessor, the Acer Aspire Switch 11 come with the Snap Hinge, but an advanced new generation named Acer Snap Hinge 2 on the current edition. The magnetic and latch less new hinge comes with a guiding plane design that supports smoother and effortless transition between four modes: laptop, tablet, display and tent.
Overall design is kept classic but winged up with modern metallic cover with a fabric pattern making it look sleek, clean and professional. It comes with a 11.6-inch HD (1366 x 768) screen with IPS panel and Zero Air Gap technology that delivers expanded 178-degree viewing angle. The Aspire Switch 11 V features Corning Gorilla Glass 3, a new generation in screen glass technology that provides tough protection against surface-level and deep scratches.
There is also a feature called Acer BluelightShield that protects eye strain by reducing blue-light emission from the screen. The Acer SwitchLock feature that comes with the Aspire Switch 11 V provides security and protection to valuable data in the event the keyboard dock is lost or stolen.
Another feature that can be found in this new device is Acer TrueHarmony which delivers lifelike, richer and more powerful sound experience via its dual front facing speakers enhanced with Dolby Digital Plus Home Theater for cinematic-quality audio. The Aspire Switch 11 V is powered by Intel Core M CPU that supports optimized performance, longer battery life thanks to its innovative fan-less design.
One 10 separately is aimed at those who are into portability and versatility. It can be used as a laptop or detach the keyboard dock for tablet form. Like the Aspire Switch 11 V, the One 10 has the ability to perform in four modes – laptop, tablet, display and tent. Its latch-less magnetic hinge design enables effortless transition between modes. The metallic front-cover of the Acer One 10 shouts elegance, sleek yet simple giving it a unique and refined appearance.
The 10.1-inch HD (1280 x 800) display with IPS technology offers vibrant and crispier wide viewing experience. It is powered by Intel® Atom™ quad-core processor for speedier performance at work or play.
