The people behind Snapchat renamed their company Snap Inc. over the weekend and announced a new wearable for its users to take advantage of. They’re called Spectacles, but unlike Glass by Google, these promise a more focused use-case and seem to be outright fun.
Spectacles are sunglasses with an integrated video camera that makes it easy to create Memories. Snap Inc has created one of the smallest wireless video cameras in the world, capable of taking a day’s worth of Snaps on a single charge, and they’ve integrated it seamlessly into a fun pair of sunglasses – available in 3 different colours!

Spectacles connect directly to Snapchat via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and transfer your Memories directly into the app in our brand new circular video format.
Circular video plays full screen on any device, in any orientation, and captures the human perspective with a 115 degree field of view. Priced at US$130, these are a little pricey, but we’re sure they’ll fly off the shelves when they’re officially released.
