We’ve recently seen Vivo come up with the Vivo Nex, a device with no notch and a popup front camera. It seems as though that idea has caught on, with Oppo’s rumoured latest device also featuring a popup mechanism. Furthermore, it appears as though the Oppo Find X will hide all their cameras and popup when needed.

It’s a radical design to say the least. Oppo is set to officially launch the device in Paris tonight at 3am local time but we do know some stuff for now. One thing is for certain: no more notch design. Indeed, the Oppo Find X manages a 6.4″ full screen display with no notch at the top. It appears to sport an extremely thin chin at the bottom too. The Chinese manufacturer manages to put a screen to body ratio of 92.25 percent on it! But with all that screen, where’s the camera? Well look at this:

We were impressed and mystified with the Vivo Nex’s popup front-facing camera. The Oppo Find X however is taking it even further. A popup mechanism houses all three cameras; a front facing 25MP camera and a dual rear camera setup of 16MP+20MP sensors. A fair reason for housing away the rear cameras too could be for getting rid of the camera bumps, allowing your device to lay flat on the table. We won’t know til the official reveal in Paris though.  Oppo claims that when you launch the camera, you can begin taking photos in just half a second! It’s overall build meanwhile is slightly similar to the Samsung S9, featuring curved sides and rounded corners.

As for it’s other specifications, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 powers the device. The Oppo Find X would also have 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Battery-wise, we can expect Oppo to house a 3,730mAh battery into the smartphone. Meanwhile, it also appears as though Oppo have opted to not put a fingerprint sensor onto the Oppo Find X; it will instead use a 3D facial scanner. However, the Oppo Find X’s popup mechanism does mean that it most likely isn’t waterproof.

The Oppo Find X will be available for the Chinese market sometime in the next 24 hours. Oppo have also not given a price for it just yet. We may have to wait a little while longer before we get the device on our shores though. The one thing for certain though is that it will surely make heads turn when you bring this device out and about.
