OKI Data C9 Printers Perfect For Shop Front Signages

okic931The print media industry is a competitive one, one that heavily relies on the quality and reliability of their equipment. Accurate printing of highly detailed designs, creation of package samples on tight deadlines and small-lot printing at low costs, are just some of the many requirements needed.

From producing bright colours and the ability to print on thick media as large as 360 g/m², OKI Data printers and multifunction printers are your best bet. These machines feature proprietary technology using LEDs that makes it all possible. They are also able to churn out printing on clear film or dark coloured paper through a spot colour (white/clear) as its fifth toner colour – perfect for those special Point of Purchase (POP) displays.

A POP OF COLOUR

Going into retail stores, POP displays are first few things a customer sees. In-store promotions can sometimes be produced by its staff, and very often they are handwritten with permanent markers on a pre-printed branding template.

To save time of simple POP displays or ones that require timeliness, OKI Data’s print solutions allow brand colours to be reproduced in the prescribed manner, in addition to enabling high quality printing on paper that is usable in POP displays.

On this end according to OKI Data Malaysia, Country Manager Goh Yin Hwang, the new OKI Data’s C9 Series provides retailers optimal printing ability at individual stores. He added that the models are compatible with thick media of up to 360g/m² and offers high colour reproducibility.

If that’s not enticing enough, OKI Data also offers its POP signage management, SignDirector, to ease retail business owners a simplified experience when it comes to distributing and managing display materials. But how does it work?

Well, the POP designs created at headquarters can be stored on SignDirector, where individual stores can easily access the retailer’s database and print the POP materials pre-assigned by its headquarters.

To lessen the margin of error, the stores themselves do not have to decide on the paper size or set the colour. This makes it possible to print the signage exactly as designed, simply by indicating the number of copies and pushing the print button.

A SAMPLE SOLUTION

Many retail stores also host a myriad of in-house branded products, thus production of samples for new product packages and packaging film are often needed. This process is general outsource to printing companies, which can be costly and takes time from order to deliver if it is done in small lots.

Standard printers and multifunction printers cannot print on film or coloured paper – leading to inadequate reproducibility. Plus, if revisions become necessary, the order has to be placed again, which means additional time and cost. By using the OKI Data C9 Series, these short-run samples can be produced in house.

Not only can they be printed on a wide range of paper thicknesses, from thin media like film to the thick one used in packages, the C9 series can be used with a special white toner in addition to the standard four CMYK colours.

This proprietary technology makes it possible to create samples that accurately represent the final package and to move production of samples in-house – something that had been considered impossible.
